Don is one of the nation’s preeminent authorities on leadership science. He leads the team at E3 Solutions and oversees the firm’s diverse array of training initiatives on Employee Engagement. He is the author of Thrive By Design: The Neuroscience That Drives High-Performance Cultures published by ForbesBooks.
Don lectures on employee engagement throughout North America and Europe, helping thousands of CEOs understand the key drivers of exceptional workplace behavior. Don is a former science advisor to Congress and the Secretary of the Department of Health & Human Services.
Dr. Kathryn Rheem, Ed.D., LMFT
Senior Technical Advisor
Dr. Rheem’s role includes reviewing research related to adult attachment and emotional intelligence. Kathryn oversees the development of E3 curriculum for manager training and co-leads the firm’s two-day intensive, Core Skills for Engaging Leaders, workshop.
She also serves as the Director of the Washington/Baltimore Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy, working with combat-related trauma and the impacts of high stress on relationships and training mental health professionals in the U.S. and Europe.
Kelly S. Burns, M.Ed., M.A.
Vice President of Client Experiences
Kelly brings 13 years of experience in education, marketing, and design to E3 Solutions. In her role, Kelly is responsible for the strategic evolution and design of the company’s client-facing resources and service offerings. She helps the entire team develop meaningful and lasting client connects and encourages a consistently positive experience for clients and staff.As a fan of the outdoors, Kelly spends all her spare time running, hiking, and biking with her dog, 1 year old daughter and husband.
Vice President of Operations & Engagement Initiatives
Laurie brings almost two decades of project management experience, with oversight on the firm’s day-to-day operations including customer service, human resources, and account management.
In addition, she manages E3 Solutions’ assessment practice, including the roll-out of each E3 Assessment and the subsequent data reporting and presentation for clients.
Director of Online Resources
Rebecca supports the team's client-facing resources and service offerings - especially our online platform for managers, the Manager Resource Center. She brings talents from several years of experience in Career Services and Professional Development.
Her career has also been shaped by fifteen years of coaching competitive gymnastics and circus arts to both youth and adults. She is excited to contribute to the research projects that expand the breadth and depth of services E3 provides to clients.
Manager of Executive Operations
Tricia is a 20 year Navy veteran and retired Naval Officer. Her impeccable organizational skills come in handy as she manages all of our Accounts Payable and Receivable. She also serves as the Vistage and TEC liaison and is our Team Travel Coordinator.
An avid runner, she hits the pavement everyday - averaging 20 miles a week running. She's run 4 half marathons, 2 10 milers, 1 15K, and numerous 10Ks and 5Ks.

Kerry Goyette, MBA
Executive Trainer & Coach
Kerry is certified to administer a wide variety of cutting-edge profiling tools, measuring motivation, engagement, attitude, mental ability and emotional intelligence. Kerry has consulted for Shell Oil, Huntington Ingalls, Houston Texans, StorageMart, University of Missouri, and others.
In addition, she is a certified forensic interviewer with advanced training as an expert witness by the American Prosecutors Research Institute. Kerry holds a B.A. and MBA from the University of Missouri-Columbia with post-graduate studies in neuroscience and psychometrics.
Dr. Carylynn Larson, Ph.D.
Cary combines deep scientific expertise in the social sciences with extensive C-suite coaching and consulting experience. She has facilitated hundreds of management retreats and is designated a “Master Facilitator” by the International Association for Facilitation. She speaks at leadership conventions on topics such as employee engagement, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.
Cary has served on faculty at The George Washington University, George Mason University, and the United States Naval Academy. She has conducted applied research with organizations such as The Center for Creative Leadership, the U.S. Air Command & Staff College and the Army Research Institute. Cary holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology) and a Certificate in Leadership Coaching. She is an ICF Professional Certified Coach with over 700 hours of leadership coaching experience.
Chelsie Sargent, M.Ed., LPC-S
Chelsie Sargent is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor from Houston, TX. She holds a BA in History from Abilene Christian University and a M.Ed. in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin Simmons University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Professional Counseling.
Chelsie’s speciality is the Enneagram, a personality profile that helps individuals have a greater understanding of themselves and how to relate best to those around them. Chelsie works regularly with business executives, professionals, and nonprofit organizations, teaching leaders how their Enneagram type effects the workplace and their teams. In March 2019, Chelsie received certification in the Enneagram Spectrum Training with Dr. Jerry Wagner.
Chelsie worked with two nonprofit counseling agencies before opening up her private counseling practice. She is routinely invited to speak in businesses, schools, conferences, churches, and universities. She is a member of the Texas Counseling Association.
